Our 2008

What can I say about 2008. We always start each year with a party...Will's party. I feel like in the last year, we have accomplished a lot with Will...big boy bed, potty training, and many more feats...with many more to come. We are continuing to make Amarillo our home. So many friends have helped make this a wonderful place to live. Mike's job is great. He is really doing well and creating a name for himself in the industry. I am so proud of his accomplishments this past year. We have welcomed another niece into the family. Glad to see some girls in the mix for a change...love the little boys, but love to spoil those girls. Pink is so much fun. Mike, Will, and I will be blessed with a baby boy this year. It has been fun getting Will's take on the whole "baby budder" concept. He is so sweet around other babies, so I hope nothing changes once he finds out this new baby will be staying with us. There have been so many answered prayers and blessing that have filled the year. God is so good and merciful and gracious. I am in awe of His love for me in spite of my many imperfections. All I can say is that life is good. No matter what comes our way, God always provides the hope, encouragement, and direction that I need to overcome it all. I will continue to lean on Him as this new year begins. We have a lot in store for us. It is nice to know that I am not alone. I have a wonderful family, great friends, and an awesome God to serve. I hope your 2009 will be full of joy, adventure, and love.

Not the party we hoped for...

Still up late into the evening, with his favorite things...blue (the tattered blanket), Woody, and now his Thomas the Train balloon.

Well, Will's birthday was definitely eventful, just not in the way that we hoped. Late Friday night, Will started complaining of his ear hurting. No one got a wink of sleep that night. The poor little guy cried and complained all night about his ear and couldn't get comfortable. So, with that, the party for Saturday afternoon got canceled. Instead, we went to the doctor, got meds for Will, and then all took a long nap. But, before the napping, we had another little celebration. I sent Mike to pick up the cake and balloons. Will was just as excited to see his Thomas the Train balloon as he was the cake. You would have never known the kid was running on no sleep with an ear infection, but there he was, partying it up...the last of the celebrations for a while.

Will Turns 3 Today!

Well, my baby boy turned 3 today. He is very excited about his birthday. We went to Gatti Land. He got a fun hat, a huge sticker that said "Happy Birthday to Me!" and a bag full of tokens and candy. What else could a kid ask for? With all the tickets, he managed to get quite a few toys..(I forgot the camera). Gram and Grand-dad got in this afternoon, just in time for cake and more presents. The big party will be this weekend. With his birthday being so close to Christmas, the poor kid just keeps getting presents, presents and more presents. I hope to have pictures to add to the post later today.

Happy New Year to you all!!!
