Ok, my girls in Weatherford have "tagged" me, which means that all of you get to learn some new details, nonsense and possibly neurotic behaviors of mine....here goes....
1. My father has passed the handy-man gene to me. However, we do things a little differently than the average handy-man. We work things out in our dreams. For example, our garage door was not working properly, and I could not for the life of me figure out the problem. So, after much 'conscience' thought went into it, I ended up dreaming about it the next night. Subconsciously, I found the solution. The next morning I got up and fixed the garage door. I have done this several times with minor issues around the house. So, the old adage 'sleep on it' really is true.
2. During high school I played basketball, or attempted to play. Anyways, I always found that, even though I was right handed, I could always dribble and pass the ball better from my left hand. Through the years, I have noticed that I do more with my left hand; vacuum, carry my purse, open containers, pour, etc. My left hand usually dominates. However, I still write, shave my legs, put on make-up, etc. with my right hand. What do they call this....ambidextrous?
3. Stemming from childhood, I smell my hair when I am tired, distracted, or thinking. As a child, I was a thumb-sucker. Along with that habit, I also played with my hair. To this day, I am always twirling, twisting, and yes, even smelling my hair. I don't know I am doing it unless you call me on it.
4. I must have watched too many scary movies or police dramas that caused me to never, under any circumstances, park near window-less vans. I don't know if I fear that someone is lurking inside, just waiting for their next victim to grab, or there is a possible van full of clowns (another issue), but no matter what, I will not park by the van.
5. I like to hum. My father says that it is a sign of a happy heart. I would like to think that is the case. I have noticed that my son, Will, has the trait also. Lot's of happiness going around here in Amarillo.
6. And lastly, the quirkiest thing about me is this. Street lights always flicker out when I pass by. Not sure the reason for this, but it happens all the time. The first time I noticed this incident was back in college. It had happened several times...enough for me to notice. My mother came to visit and I thought I would mention it to her as we were driving home from dinner. Stopped at a light, we talked and sure enough, the street light we were under went out...during the very conversation. We laughed, but it was one of those, slow laughs...when you are not sure whether to laugh or scream and get the heck out of there. About every two to three months, this occurrence will take place. I just have one of those electric personalities I guess.
So there you have it. My quirks, strange habits, and other nonsense. It has been fun sitting and thinking of these. Who should I tag next?

Growing in leaps and bounds...
Will turns 2 and all of the sudden he is such a big boy.
Let me take a few minutes to share Will world with you.
He is really beginning to have conversations with us now, and comes up with some of the cutest sayings. He came up to me the other day and says, with his hands on his head, 'I cannot believe it'. This is, of course, is what Quincy from Little Einstein says. But to hear Will say it so clearly and with such drama was pretty funny.
He sings and dances to any and every genre of music. We are still not sure where he gets his dance moves. I have yet to see Mike dance, so who knows.
I have been calling him 'our little politician' since he greets everyone he sees with an exuberant 'hello' or 'goodbye-seeya'. I am just waiting for his little hand to pop out for a handshake. He demands a 'you're welcome' after he says thank you, and will persistently say thank you until you answer.
The latest and greatest toy as of now is anything Cars. He will play all day with his cars and has at least two in his hands at all times....this includes car rides, naptime, and usually bedtime. As a parent, I am feeling a little guilty that he knows each character from the movie Cars better than the characters in his little Bible. However, he did bring me all his books about 'Zeezus' yesterday. So, we sang 'Jesus Loves Me' and read the short stories of Noah and Baby Jesus. We'll keep working on it.
I'll keep you all posted on the latest and greatest of Mr. Will Plemons. There are new surprises each day. I look forward to walking into his room each morning to hear 'Hi Mama' in his sweet, just awake, scratchy voice. With that hello, our day begins....a new adventure in the world according to Will.

Playhouse Disney

Playhouse Disney came to town and oh the fun. All of our favorites were there; Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, Pooh and friends, and of course Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We had great seats, just three rows back from the stage. I just knew that Will would be up dancing and singing, but he just kicked back and watched the show with the biggest smile on his face. Of course we didn't leave empty handed....a $25 Leo conducting baton....but it lights up and everything! Word of caution, it can cause black eyes. Regardless, we had such a great time. Our next show just might be a Wiggles concert in Albuquerque...now that will be a blast.
