After Thomas, we got to visit cousins...which is always fun.

Thomas the Tank Engine

About a month before baby Nathan arrived, Will and I took a trip to Grapevine to ride Thomas. The weather was perfect and the trip was fun. Grammy and Papa picked us up at the airport and then joined us for the train ride. Will was in heaven.

One month....and then some.

Look at my boys, both at one month old...well, Nathan is actually three weeks in the picture, but close enough. Nathan has the cheeks and the chin to match Will at one month, maybe even a little more so. However, Will is dark with big brown eyes. Nathan has light hair and his eyes are a beautiful blue like Mike's. I think they are going to stay that way. I can't wait to see Nathan's personality unfold.

Ok, so I had the baby...

That is my excuse for not updating the blog in almost two months. Nathan James was born April 20th. We are all doing so well. He is the best baby. Of course, he hates to be undressed, uncovered, diaper changes and baths; total opposite of his brother. But other than that, he is so calm and laid back. Will adores him and is always upset with me if I don't get to Nathan fast enough when he is crying. I am finally adjusting to having two...on two different schedules. I am now one of those 'late' people. I HATE being late. Anyone who knows me knows that I am at least 15 minutes early to everything. Now I am at least 15 minutes late. So, this is a new adjustment in my life...I have to say that I kind of enjoy it more than I thought, but I am still working on it and just planning ahead much better.

My wonderfully talented friend Bethany, once again, took beautiful pictures of my little ones. Enjoy!

Oops, he's uncovered!

Updates

*Thomas the Train was GREAT! I highly recommend the trip if you get the chance. It was a perfect venue for 3-5 year olds. Small, low key, and quick. Just when you are about to lose the kids attention span, bam, we're on to the next thing. If you do go, I suggest that you plan your train ride early. By afternoon, the place was packed...just as we were leaving. I'll get pics up as soon as I figure out this new camera.

*Baby News: Nathan is measuring two weeks early. I am technically at 34 weeks, but he wants to be 36 weeks. So, we'll see who wins. I really hope it is Nathan. I am ready to see my feet again. I am starting to swell. The wedding rings are about to come off for the remainder...I can see the indention on my finger already. I better take it off soon while I still can.

*Will is getting so big. We had a wellness check today. He is still tall and skinny and doing very well. He will be enrolled in preschool this fall...I can't believe how fast he is growing. He is talking so much now..so big. Pretend play is so much fun. What an imagination. He was such a great traveler this past weekend. He loved the plane ride and of course, flirted with the flight attendants and got just about anything he asked for. The ride to Dallas was overcast and the clouds covered the sky. He looked out the window and wanted me to see all the 'snow'. Speaking of..we totally missed the blizzard in Amarillo..yea!

*The baby's room is done. The boy's bathroom is painted and almost complete. Next project...the play set out back. Of course, we will pay someone to tackle that job...any takers?

The Belly Bump

The anticipated photos are here and the baby bump is revealed for all to see. My multi-talented friend, Bethany, came by to take a few shots of me and the boys. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the little guy. Will loves being in baby brother's room. If he accidentally hits or kicks near my belly, he'll yell right into it..."sorry baby brother". Will is going to be a great brother. He is already telling us the things he will teach the baby...like obeying, sharing, taking turns...(can you tell what we are working on at home...ha). Anyways, enjoy the pictures and keep us all in your prayers as we make room for this new little one. Just 9 weeks away.

Thomas the Train

As many of you know, Will LOVES Thomas the Train. So, as our last trip before the baby comes, we are heading to Grapevine to ride Thomas the Train...an actual 30 minute train ride. Will is already so excited. It will be a fun-filled trip for him. First, the airplane ride to Dallas. Second, Grammy and Papa greeting us at the airport. Finally, Thomas. I have to admit that I am just as excited. I don't know if it is because I am getting out of town or the fact that I am feeling Will's excitement. I am sure it is a combination of both. I can't wait to show you the pictures and tell you about the day.
