"It just happens"
"My take look it"-which means, I want to look at it.
"Don't fall. My might break my head. My cry. Daddy and Mommy hold me. Make it all better."
"What's going on in here"
"How about this one"
"Does that look right? No. Does that look right? No. How about now? Yes"
"Goodness Gracious"
Peanut-butter Sam for Peter Sam-Thomas the Train character
"Whatcha doing"
"Mommy's Baby Boy...no...Daddy's Baby Boy"-A constant teaser game for me and Mike
Disciplining the birds outside...(not sure who he sounds like) "Shoo birds. Go away right now. 1....2....3. Ok, Time out or a spanking." Once I heard this one, and laughed, I changed my 'habits' of discipline. No more counting...no more 'right now' statements...no more time out or spanking choice. It is amazing what your kids can teach you about yourself.

Funnies from Will...

My "Big" Baby Boy
As I slowly get the nursery ready, unpacked, organized, and somewhat arranged, Will is always somewhere beneath me, 'helping' me...or rather playing with all the baby toys. It is almost like he remembers each and every one of them. Just a few days ago, I found him in the baby bed playing with the mobile. Later that day, as we got ready for nap time, he asked me "Mommy, rock your baby boy". Well, first of all, how could I resist that invitation...snuggle time with mommy! But, I am getting the feeling that he still doesn't get this whole baby brother thing yet. He refers to the nursery as his room...the rocker is his rocker...the toys are his toys. I always remind him that, yes they were his things, but now he needs to share them with brother and teach him how to play with them. He is ok with that answer for now.

I feel like I should add something.....
It has been over a month since I last blogged....sorry about that. There is no excuse except I am, well, lazy, pregnant, busy with Will, etc.... So, I feel like I should at least add something to the blog to keep it current. So, let's see....
*I am getting big. (Maybe a picture will appear soon) I don't sleep much any more. I can't find a comfortable position, but I only have so many options, my side or my back. My back is not really an option. It is just as uncomfortable and I can't breath very well. I really can't wait to sleep on my tummy again. As you can see on the ticker below, I have less than 100 days until this baby boy (no name) makes his arrival. Wow.
*Will is busy. He is so funny, sweet, and defiant all balled together. Well, he is 3 so what do you expect. He is completely potty trained which is such a relief. It is so easy now...and less stuff to carry around. Well, for a few more months anyways.
*The nursery is getting put together very slowly. I just got the rocking chair in from Wal-mart. I must say that I am impressed by the purchase. I didn't know what to expect from Wal-mart online furniture, but it is every bit the same chair as the ones from Pottery Barn but much, much cheaper. I am glad to have a comfortable chair this time around. Maybe now, Mike will use it more...ha. Of course, Will thought it was his chair, and still does. Could be interesting. Mike plans on painting the room in a few weeks. Still not sure what color, so any suggestions would be helpful. Then, all we need is a rug and the room should be pretty much done.
That is pretty much the gist of what is going on with the Plemons family. Busy weekly routines and restful weekends consume our days. I am thankful for normalcy and for peace in where we are now. I'll try to keep up the blogging, but don't hold your breath.

Our 2008
What can I say about 2008. We always start each year with a party...Will's party. I feel like in the last year, we have accomplished a lot with Will...big boy bed, potty training, and many more feats...with many more to come. We are continuing to make Amarillo our home. So many friends have helped make this a wonderful place to live. Mike's job is great. He is really doing well and creating a name for himself in the industry. I am so proud of his accomplishments this past year. We have welcomed another niece into the family. Glad to see some girls in the mix for a change...love the little boys, but love to spoil those girls. Pink is so much fun. Mike, Will, and I will be blessed with a baby boy this year. It has been fun getting Will's take on the whole "baby budder" concept. He is so sweet around other babies, so I hope nothing changes once he finds out this new baby will be staying with us. There have been so many answered prayers and blessing that have filled the year. God is so good and merciful and gracious. I am in awe of His love for me in spite of my many imperfections. All I can say is that life is good. No matter what comes our way, God always provides the hope, encouragement, and direction that I need to overcome it all. I will continue to lean on Him as this new year begins. We have a lot in store for us. It is nice to know that I am not alone. I have a wonderful family, great friends, and an awesome God to serve. I hope your 2009 will be full of joy, adventure, and love.

Not the party we hoped for...

Still up late into the evening, with his favorite things...blue (the tattered blanket), Woody, and now his Thomas the Train balloon.

Well, Will's birthday was definitely eventful, just not in the way that we hoped. Late Friday night, Will started complaining of his ear hurting. No one got a wink of sleep that night. The poor little guy cried and complained all night about his ear and couldn't get comfortable. So, with that, the party for Saturday afternoon got canceled. Instead, we went to the doctor, got meds for Will, and then all took a long nap. But, before the napping, we had another little celebration. I sent Mike to pick up the cake and balloons. Will was just as excited to see his Thomas the Train balloon as he was the cake. You would have never known the kid was running on no sleep with an ear infection, but there he was, partying it up...the last of the celebrations for a while.

Will Turns 3 Today!
Well, my baby boy turned 3 today. He is very excited about his birthday. We went to Gatti Land. He got a fun hat, a huge sticker that said "Happy Birthday to Me!" and a bag full of tokens and candy. What else could a kid ask for? With all the tickets, he managed to get quite a few toys..(I forgot the camera). Gram and Grand-dad got in this afternoon, just in time for cake and more presents. The big party will be this weekend. With his birthday being so close to Christmas, the poor kid just keeps getting presents, presents and more presents. I hope to have pictures to add to the post later today.
Happy New Year to you all!!!
